Rustam Iranian School is fortunate to have active and strong support from its PTA. The Association was founded in 1981. Its aim is to strengthen the link between parents and staff and act as a consultative body when necessary. It supports the School's wider cultural and social activities. The PTA has an independent bank account and articles of Association. The whole of the school community benefits from the PTA membership. Rustam PTA functions are led and coordinated by an annually elected committee. Over the years these activities have been most successful especially during the celebration of the traditional Noruz festivals. Its Chahar Shanbeh Souri evenings have become the talk of the wider Iranian Community. This year's Sizdeh bedar Picnic was also a great success. Other activities include financing and arranging transport to museums and galleries for the pupils. The PTA also presents performances and poetry sessions for its members.
Through its fund raising, the PTA supports various activities such as a football clubs, and facilities the use of a computer suite for our pupils. The school library now named in honour o the late Dr. Saeed Godarznia an esteemed Rustam teacher, was first founded by the PTA.
There is an annual £10:00 membership fee to supplement the cost of a text book for each pupil and cover the cost of some of the class outings.
If you want to be active and have an influence on your child's life at Rustam school, you could become a committee member.
